Music by Phora is a work of art

When you think of rap or R&B, you probably think of Eminem, Jay Z, Tupac or Biggie because they are big mainstream rappers,  but there is one rapper that is not well known that deserves to be which is Marco Archer, better known as Phora.

Phora is an American rapper who gained a lot of fame from his song “Fake smiles” which released in 2016, but Phora has been releasing music since way before that. In 2012 he released an album titled “Still a Kid” which featured 5 songs.

Phora has great music which talks about his life struggles and going through depression and how to overcome it.

In his song titled “Sinner” he has a line that says “But me, I died twice and came back to life, so tell me how can I be scared” which refers to two instances in which he was left in critical conditions. In one of those instances, Phora was walking home from school with two classmates, and when he was outside of his house,  another group of guys surrounded him and one approached him. Phora tried to fight back, but everyone jumped him and left him there, and he passed out. Later on, he got up and had to walk to school on his own in pain where he called an ambulance because everyone around him just left him. In the other instance, Phora was sitting in the car with his girlfriend Destiny Blakely when someone approached him and shot him in the head which left him in a coma.

Phora grew up living with his mom while his father was in jail. He talks about this in his song titled “Thicker Than Blood.” Phora had some other struggles that prevented him from releasing music, so he hadn’t released music since October 11, 2016, so many people had been waiting for the August 18 release in 2017.

Phora released that long-awaited titled “Yours Truly Forever” which got him a lot more views and grew his fan base. Phora has a clothing line also named “Yours Truly.” This clothing can only be purchased at www.yourstrulyclothing.co  which is his official website.
