Had anyone driven by HHS this past Friday and Saturday, they would have seen every parking spot filled, along with hundreds of other cars parked on band’s practice field. Outdoor track states for 3A and 4A school has been hosted at HHS for several years in a row, and this year Harrisonburg only had two athletes competing.

The first was senior Ethan Harris. Crushing his previous record, Harris placed third with a throw of 54’ 1.5. Harris placed all-state once again in the discus. His throw of 144’ 2”, another career best, finished him in eighth place.

Sophomore Hannah Miller competed Saturday morning as well. Miller ran a 5:24:36 in the mile to place 13th overall.
