Stage Streaks win states, head to southeastern competition

This weekend, the HHS Stage Streaks took their one-act production of “That Was Then” to the Virginia Theatre Association conference in Norfolk, Virginia. The cast and crew advanced to finals with two perfect scores and placed first out of 54 schools. They will be advancing to the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Kentucky and representing the state of Virginia in the spring.

They earned an All Star Acting award, given to senior Ben Hollenbeck, a Best Musical award and a Recognition of Collaboration Between Teacher & Student award.

“That Was Then” will be competing on the VHSL level next week. They will be traveling to Woodgrove High School in Loudoun County on Nov.r 19 for the district competition.
