Opinion: Chick-Fil-A is the best fast food

Nyah Phengsitthy, Editor-in-Chief

There are so many options to choose from and decisions to make when it comes down to deciding which fast food restaurant I like the best. If I had to choose one, my answer would probably go towards Chick-Fil-A.  I’m not the type of person to always eat out at a fast food restaurant, but I can never get enough of this place.

I like to change up my order whenever I go there because I like everything on their menu, but I usually just get the chicken sandwich. Almost all fast food restaurants have their own specialty sauce: Mcdonald’s has their sweet and sour sauce and Arby’s has their Arby’s sauce. With every meal I get at Chick-Fil-A, I add their Chick-Fil-A sauce to it. The sauce has a sweet taste to it, which is why I like it with almost everything. Not only does their food taste amazing, but so do their beverages. I could pretty much live off on Chick-Fil-A’s sweet tea, and their milkshakes are just to die for.

Chick-Fil-A’s food has always won my heart, but the actual restaurant and workers have gotten my attention too. I’ve had a good experience at almost every Chick-Fil-A I’ve ever been to. Their service is great and the sound of them saying “my pleasure” instead of “you’re welcome” gets a great reaction from their guests. If your food isn’t ready in time, they’ll bring it to your table, which reminds me of a regular sit down restaurant. The Chick-Fil-A in Harrisonburg is a great example. The workers there are very polite and are always working to make their restaurant a welcoming place. I’ve known the owner of Harrisonburg’s Chick-Fil-A for a while now, since her daughter is my best friend. Ashley Bellamy, Chick-Fil-A owner, has always been such a sweet person to talk to. Her husband, Greg Bellamy, works there as well and he is very welcoming too.

Earlier this year, there was a story on Facebook that involved Chick-Fil-A, click here to read the full story. On there was a story about a homeless man who walked into Chick-Fil-A asking for their leftover food. When the homeless man asked for food, a Chick-Fil-A worker kindly gave him a full meal along with praying for him. Stories like these really show how great of a restaurant they are and how they’re always working to make their customers feel more welcomed. Reading about that gave me another reason to make it my favorite fast food restaurant.
