Reality of Online Shopping

I find myself gravitating more towards online shopping. It has less human interactions and I can take as long as i want to find clothing. I don’t have to dress myself up “decently” and drive to the mall, try to find a parking spot close to the entrance (which is nearly impossible during Saturdays) and walk around tirelessly to find at least one article of clothing that will meet all of my needs. And If you’re like me, you can’t shop alone if you’re in the mall. So, I have to someone who will go with me and there is a likely chance they won’t be available. All of this can be avoided if I choose the bright screen and comfy bed over
the outside world.

But, is this necessarily a bad thing? Should I be concerned with people thinking i’m obsessed with technology and losing sight of reality? Heck no! Let me tell you why. Online shopping is not limited to clothing, there’s also grocery shopping, and shopping for car parts and toys. The options are endless. One of the great benefits of online shopping is couponing. Yes, there’s already couponing for shopping IRL, but with online there are numerous amounts of coupons, deals, and promo codes you can choose from.

With the good also comes the bad. Like anything that includes the wonderful world of web, you have to be careful with the pop ups and untrustworthy websites that shows how much you can save, because they could possibly be scams. As online shopping becomes more popular, so will the chance of running into scams and identity thieves. So before checking out and purchasing your goods, make sure the website is secure and reliable. Trusted websites will take care of any frauds in order to preserve their reputations, so they will let you avoid being screwed over by the internet trolls. Another downside to shopping online is that you don’t get to feel and try on the material before purchasing, but have no fear that’s why return policies are here. Some websites give you the ability to type in your measurements to ensure that the clothing will fit, and others just have the standard xsmall- xlarge sizes. Either way, a great online store will have return options available so you can get your money back hassle free.

Now i’m not saying that online shopping should be the only way to shop, because let’s face it we all like to dress up some days and go to the mall just cause we are “feeling ourselves.” But, that feeling you get when the delivery man comes to your door and it’s Christmas all over again, (even though you bought it) is pretty aLulu's mazing. So, be cautious with shopping online but don’t be discouraged, it’s a whole new world behind the screen.
